Musings from ME » Who? ME!

One thing I know is true, I cannot be summed up in a couple of paragraphs for a blog “About Me” article. My life is far too rich, complicated, deep, fun, funny and involved to sum it up in a few hundred words.

ME in less then 100 words

I’m a 50+ year young woman who has lived through much, suffered my share, enjoyed much and learned much along the way. One of my heart beats is to share from that pool with others for the purpose of edification and encouragement desiring that perhaps someone might be prevented from making the same mistakes I’ve made along the way. I would also love to share from the wealth of wisdom I’ve been blessed with so that others might benefit from those nuggets as well.

My relationship with my Lord

I hope when all is said and done this will be the key thing people remember about ME. It is beyond me why my life has been blessed in the ways that it has. That said, it has not been a perfect life nor have I been a perfect person. Nobody is, no matter how good they look on the outside. For whatever reason, my husband, Steve, and I have been surrounded by wise and godly people throughout all of our marriage. In recent years we’ve met many who have not been so blessed and it has caused us to have a new appreciation for the uniqueness of our walk with the Lord. Who is the Lord that I refer to? Jesus of Nazareth, the Master, the Messiah, Yeshua, the source of my salvation. May I be found faithful to the end of my days!

I’m a multi-faceted personality

There is still a good bit of child in me (although I hope not childishness) and I have said that as long as I have a baby tooth in my mouth I will behave in the fun-loving way of the young. I love life. I love spontaneity. I don’t like change. I love tea, real tea that is. I drink coffee, but always with at least cream. I love to read. I love thought provoking discussions and a good discussion of Scripture is the best of all. I play Ultimate Frisbee, but not often. Next to the Lord, my family is the most important thing in my life. If I had the time I would pursue my photography hobby, scrapbooking (both digital and traditional), sewing, quilting, gardening and cooking.

That’s a very brief glimpse of ME. Why ME? My name is Mary Ellen. Welcome to my musings.
